Scout in a Capsule

CAST: As many Cubs as you have.

SETTING: Boys are sitting on stage next to a big box.

1ST CUB: Let's make a time capsule!

2ND CUB: Great idea - everyone go home and get something to put in it!

(Boys leave stage, get their item and return.)

All boys put their item in the box: Here's my marbles (patches, pictures, letter to myself, etc)

LAST CUB: I couldn't find anything

(Jumps into the box and lies down.)

(Boys close and pretend to bury the box.)

LEADER: walks across the stage with sign "40 years later".

(Boys walk back on dressed as "old men"- with gray hair, canes, beards, etc.)

1ST CUB: My marbles! I remember these!

2ND CUB: My pictures! I remember these!

(all continue until done)

LAST CUB: jumps up out of the box "preserved"

ALL CUBS: Timmy! We remember you!

LAST CUB: Guys! What took you so long! (runs off the stage appearing to have to use the bathroom.)

The "old men" chase after him.
